Wondai Engineers make time capsules of various shapes and sizes. The time capsule photos in the gallery on the left indicate some of the more common types and sizes. The metal used in construction of the time capsules is 316 grade stainless steel, the top, bottom, and flange are machined to size. Welding is normally argon arc. The top and flange is sealed by a neopreme seal and up to 12 x 8mm stainless bolts. Smaller capsules may have a screw fit top.
If required we can make fittings which are welded into the top and bottom to allow the capsule to be purged to completely dehydrate, and then be used to fill the capsule with an inert gas.The mostly cylindrical shape of a time capsule gives it immense strength, it is difficult to imagine any probable event or ocurrence which would have the force required to damage these capsules. 316 grade stainless steel, unless in contact with some concentrated acids will resist corrosion.
There is no reason why any of the time capsules we make cannot be filled, sealed, stored and then opened; the process being repeated again and again.
